Wiiiiiiiii :D

Hi everyone!!!

How was your week-end? My week-end started off badly... My room has been a mess for weeks and apparently, my father finally cracked down and couldn't stand it anymore. Apparently, he was really mad on Friday night... I say apparently, because, well, I was asleep ^_^; So I didn't see the volcano erupting... So I spent Saturday cleaning my room. It's not sparkling, but it's acceptable. The thing is, I'm planning to change things around soon, that's why I've been putting off cleaning. Also, I'd pretty much like to purge everything... my books, my closet, my desk, my clothings... But then, I guess I have to have space in order to purge.

Then, to cheer myself up, I went to eat Japanese food on Saturday evening. There's this tiny Japanese restaurant near my house and it's sooooooo good. Seriously, I've been to Japanese restaurants and that place is really great. My sis got the salmon teriaki and I chose tempura... part of the complete dinner... So that included appetizer (my sis: fried tofu, me: sashimi - 7 pieces), japanese salad, miso soup, main meal (and it's good portion... i got 5-6 shrimp, 2 pieces of sweet potatoe, 2 of zuchinni and 1 green pepper) along with some maki... plus, dessert - 1 scoop of green tea ice cream. I don't usually eat at the restaurant... I mostly take sushi take-out... enough that the staff knows me by sight... and I was feeling so bad on that evening, because the restaurant closes at 10pm and we showed up at 9.30pm... So we kind of rushed through the main meal and told them we were going to take out the ice cream... I think they realized and were grateful, so they gave us some extra treat :) How nice! LOL :) It was green tea ice cream wrapped in some paste and so the ice cream wasn't melting out :P Anyway, all very yummy.

Yesterday, I went shopping with my sister and a friend :D Both some nice summer tops and a pair of pants as well as some books :D Always buying books ^_^; LOL :) It was fun, the weather was soooo nice :) Then, when we went home, my sister saw that one of our mutual friend was able to buy a Wii this week-end, so we started looking online and saw that some shops finally got some in!! So I sent my sister on a mission today :) To buy the Wii...

So guess what? We got one!!! Yay!!!!

LOL :) Also, I sneaked out today and both more remotes and games... and well, there was a bookstore next to it, so I got the books I couldn't find yesterday :P In addition to all this, I read three books during the week-end :) and watch a very good TVB series called D.I.E. = Detective Investigation Extended. It's a great tv series. Roger Kwork is such a good actor!! The whole plot was pretty good and so were the investigations cases :D

so what about you? How was your week-end?

Around the web...

LOL, I've seen this kind of post on many blogs, so I'm kinda stealing the idea :P It's actually a great idea for sharing stuff with others :)

So first of all, I have a review up with Brie from the Cupid's Chokeholds over at Breezing Through. This time, I'm reviewing 50 ways to Hex your Lover by Linda Wisdom.

Jazz can't decide whether to scorch him with a fireball or jump into bed with him. Jasmine Tremaine, a witch who can't stay out of trouble Nikolai Gregorivich, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire cop on the trail of a serial killer. The sizzling love affair between Jazz and Nick has been off-again, on-again-for about 300 years. Mostly off, lately. But now Nick needs Jazz's help, and while Jazz and Nick try to figure out their own hearts and resist their ever-increasing attraction, they must steer clear of a maniacal killer with super-supernatural powers. They are surrounded by a hilarious cast of oddball paranormal characters, including Irma, the chain-smoking ghost who haunts Jazz's sports car, Dweezil, her ghoul of a boss, and Fluff and Puff, a pair of bunny slippers with sharp teeth and short tempers (watch your ankles)

Secondly... I was over at Nalini Singh's website earlier this week and she has some deleted scenes of Beat of Temptation up :) I really like scene no.1... so cute!

And last, but not least... Laura Lee Guhrke has a sneak peak of her upcoming book, Secret Desires of a Gentleman. Secret Desires of a Gentleman is the third book in the Bachelorette series...

Once Upon a Time…

Maria Martingale was going to elope. But Phillip Hawthorne, Marquess of Kayne, put a stop to those plans when he learned his younger brother intended to marry a cook’s daughter. Now twelve years later, Maria discovers that the man who holds her fate in his hands is none other than the haughty gentleman who sent her packing – and he’s as handsome and arrogant as ever.

Happily Ever After?

Always the proper gentleman, Phillip will do anything to protect his family from scandal, and when Maria dares to move in right next door, he knows scandal will surely follow. She is as tempting as he remembered… and the more he sees her, the harder it is for Phillip to hide his own secret desire for her…
Sounds good no? Can't wait to see how the story will turns out... as it seems Phillip might be the one for Maria :) Good news is that it's coming out in October 2008 instead of early 2009 :P

Review: The Dare by Elda Minger

Miss me? LOL :) I had so many things to talk about yesterday, but I forgot them all today ^_^; Isn't that sad? 24 years old and already so forgetful... I don't really want to know how it's going to be in the future, LOL :P

So instead, you get a nice little review of one of my week-end's reads.

The Dare by Elda Minger
published by Berkley in September 2008

Mindy wants to trust her groom-to-be, but the only way to get the dirt on his bachelor party is to send in her good friend Alyssa-disguised as the entertainment. Before she knows it, Alyssa's in trouble with the best man. But when the straitlaced Cooper accepts Alyssa's challenge to a little game of Truth or Dare, all bets are off...

Genre: contemporary romance
Series: none

The Story: Okay, so basically Alyssa goes to the bachelor party, disguised as a stripper, to spy on the groom. She ends up spending the night in the arms of the best man, too much work-not enough play, Cooper Sinclair. Waking up the next morning, she panics and returns to Mindy's house. She spends the whole wedding hoping that Cooper won't recognize her (she was wearing a wig and a mask)... As for Cooper, he is still wowed by the night he spent and is determined to see Bambi again. Only, during the wedding reception, he realizes that Bambi and Alyssa is the same person. Before he can make a move, Alyssa has flee back to San Francisco in a panic. Determined to win her over, no matter what, Cooper follows her.

My Opinion: This was a great book and I really enjoyed reading it. The storyline was cute, the characters were fun and there were so many animals... all cuter than the others. I think one of the reason I enjoyed this book so much was the author's voice and writing style. The story just flowed so well and the timeline fit.

One thing that I really like is how Cooper discovered that Alyssa was Bambi. It wasn't instant recognition and the scene wasn't dumbed down so it'd be easy for Cooper. I like why Cooper wanted to get to know Alyssa more, because she made him feel and life was different with her in it... and it helped that I really liked Cooper's character. He's a nice man, generous and loving, but also quite determined.

I have to say I didn't enjoy Alyssa's character as much. One of the reason is that her personality seemed to be a bit contradicting. She's quite young, only 24 years old, but quite mature, experienced and sophisticated. She also really enjoys life. I guess in a sense, the personality actually fits... as in, although mature and sophisticated, she's insecure when it comes to relationship... mostly due her mother's experience. It just annoyed me, when I was reading, how she tried to avoid this relationship with Cooper, denied that there was something special between them just because of fear... however, now that I'm writing this review, it actually makes sense... since she's so young.

Overall, the whole story was great. My only complaint is that it did dragged a little bit about 3/4 of the book. Like I said, Alyssa shying away from the relationship didn't work too well for me. Also the bet her grandfather did with her, I thought a bit ridiculous. However, Cooper, Jake and the animals really make up for that part.

My Grade: B+

ps - anyone has read The Fling? Any good?

TBR Day: The Rules of Seduction by Madeline Hunter

Yep, it's TBR Day!! and I'm happy to say, I did complete the challenge for this month! :) So today, I'll be reviewing The Rules of Seduction by Madeline Hunter. I've had this book... I think since it came out? I pretty much bought this on impulse and because it was cheap. I've never read Madeline Hunter, but I saw her books and heard of her... but yeah, it's a historical... I know, I know. I don't love that genre so why do I keep buying it? Because I do enjoy it when it's well written... and thanks to Brie's review, I've now read it :P

The Rules of Seduction by Madeline Hunter
published by Dell in November 2006

His rules will teach her the most sensual seductions and pleasures.

Her rules will bring him to his knees.

He enters her home without warning or invitation—a stranger of shadowy motives and commanding charisma. Within hours, Alexia Welbourne is penniless, without any hope of marriage. Until Hayden Rothwell takes her innocence in one impulsive act of passion. Society’s rules of seduction force Alexia to marry the very man who has ruined her family. What Alexia doesn't know is that her masterful, sensual new husband is driven by a secret purpose and bears a dark debt of honor. He will risk anything, give everything, to repay it. Except, he discovers, the woman who starts playing by her own rules.

Genre: historical romance
Series: Book #1 of ...

The Story: During the Greece War, Hayden Rothwell's life was saved by his boyhood friend, Ben Longworth. Ever since then, Hayden has been looking out for the Longworths, not the family itself, but their business - banking, even after Ben's death. However, London is facing a bank crisis and when Hayden decides to remove his aunt and cousin's funds, he finds out that Tim, Ben's younger brother, has been embezzling money. Because of his honor, Hayden saves Tim's life by covering up the secret - provided that Tim reimbursed everyone... which means ruin for the Longworth's family. Too much of a coward to admit his faults and crime, Tim tells his younger sisters and cousin, Alexia Wellbourne, that Hayden has removed his family, the Eastbrooke, funds from bank and forced him out of business.

Alexia Longworth has become the poor relative when her father was ruined by bad investments. Upon hearing that the Longworth family is ruined as well, she knows that there's no way she can return with them to the country. Thus, she seeks employment as a governess... however, never in a hundred years did she expect Hayden to be her employer...

My Opinion: I think that Brie did a better job to summarize the book than I did. Anyway... so the whole storyline centers around Tim's lies to his younger sisters and Alexia. Alexia believes that Hayden ruined the Longworth and Hayden has too much honor to tell her the truth. Nonetheless, they're attracted to each other and both succomb to the attraction... which results in a very interesting situation.

I really liked Hayden... Most probably because he's not too alpha. In fact, I think he'd be the perfect poster boy for gentlemanhood, LOL :) I also think he knew from the moment he started seducing Alexia that he loved her. It wasn't just lust from his part, it was something else... which is refreshing :P As for Alexia, she was a good heroine. Not TSTL; however a bit of a coward. I like how she was honest. My only issue with her is I think that the author made her a bit too naive. I understand why Alexia feels so strongly against Hayden - after all, he "ruined" them, and I guessed that in that time, you didn't really second-guess what you're being told... but still.

I really like that although the situation made it awkward, it didn't stop them from marrying and falling in love. My only problem with the book was that the whole truth would have been sooo easy to uncover. I mean, if only Alexia went to the bank or asked around, she would have known that Hayden did NOT remove his family funds from the bank and therefore, did not ruin the Longworth. Sure, she had other worries and so on, but how difficult would it have been? So I thought it was a bit too convenient that Alexia never found out by herself before the end of the book.

All in all, I think this was a good book and a solid read. This is my first time reading Madeline Hunter and I thought her voice was good. It's kind of strange though, I feel a bit more detached reading this story than most historical romance novels I've read... and I guess I like it that way. I'm also very interested in Hayden's brothers. i know that Elliot's book is out, Lessons of Desire, unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the heroine...

My Grade: B+

Buddy review anyone?

Hi there everyone!

I've been blog-hopping religiously, but not blogging. Just didn't know what to say, plus I've been busy at work. Kind of. Ah well... So just to catch up a little... my week-end was okay. For those who are wondering how Friday night (see the part where I say I'm pissed) went... well it was okay. I had some alone time with friend no.1 and we shopped around till it was time to go to the restaurant. As I expected, it was really divided. New friends of friend no. 2 on one side, us on the other. The restaurant wasn't so bad, but not great either. The service was really slow and after our meal, all we wanted to do was get out of there. We went for bubble tea and hung out. Basically, I was up from 5.30am to 1am... and I was working full day (8.30am to 9pm) the next day. Let's just say that I didn't do much on Sunday :P

Good news is that I've got my reading mojo back :P Yay! I've been reading, maybe not as fast as usual, but at least, I've been reading :) Which brings me to the topic of this post. I just finished 50 ways to hex your lover by Linda Wisdom and Grimspace by Ann Aguirre and since there's been some buzz for both books on blogland, I was wondering if anyone would be interested to buddy review these books with me? (Brie, Jill? I know you've been or are about to read 50 ways to hex your lover... interested in three buddy review? :P) So if anyone is interested, please let me know :D

Oh, anyone knows anything about DVD player? I've been thinking of buying a new one as mine can't read VCD anymore... Anyone has a Pioneer Upconverting HDMI DVD Player With 1080P and DivX (DV-400V-K) ? or LG Progressive Scan 1-Disc DVD Player With DivX (LDA-830) ? Those are the ones I'm leaning towards to...

EDIT: Kris asked me what was bubble tea :P

Here's a pic:

Basically, it's a mixture of sweetened tea, milk and flavoring (any fruit you can imagine) with black gummy balls of tapioca. You have to drink it with a wide straw, so you can get the bubbles. It's really popular with Asians :P I personally don't drink tea, so I just drink flavored milk with bubbles. I think now, you can have smoothies as well and instead of the bubbles, you can get jelly (mango, lychee, etc.). My favorite flavors are taro (kind of sweet, purple-ish potato) and honey dew. You can learn more about it here.

Book Binge Contest and misc...

Good morning everybody :D

First thing first, at Holly's request, author Mary Margret Daughtridge has written a guest post about what she learned on SEALs while researching for her book, SEALed with a Kiss. So check it out! I can't wait to get my hands on SEALed with a Kiss, since Holly loved it sooo much (review here) :D

Also, get the chance to win a copy of this book :D All details here.

Second thing... anyone here has read C.E. Murphy's books? I've been thinking of starting the shaman series or perhaps the negotiator... but I need to know, is there a romance storyline? preferably no love triangle. Otherwise, any good fantasy series with a nice romance storyline in it?

Do anyone has week-end plans? I'm working whole day tomorrow at the Missionaries place, so I don't know... I'll probably be surfing the net... provided the connection is good. Gosh, I'm so hungry now LOL :)

Last thing is just ramblings... I came home yesterday and gas was 1.27$/liter... isn't that insane?!?!?!?!? Ugh. I'm starting to feel bad about driving around :(

Ugh... e-books...

E-books... to me, that's like opening a can of worms topic. I know they're getting increasingly popular and there's so many pros and cons. However, I'm an old-fashioned girl and I don't like change and as long as there's paper and they are going to publish books with papers, then I'm going to buy them in that format.

I thought for 2 seconds about buying an e-book reader, but I never did. I don't know, e-book technology just don't appeal to me. I've read a couple of e-books on the computer and even bought some... Which leads me to my story...

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Karen Templeton's books lately. The Book Binge girls say it's good, Sybil says it's good... My problem with category romance? The books don't stay on the shelves long enough. So on Tuesday, I went to buy the third book in the series; however, there wasn't a chance that I'd find book 1 and 2. After reading the synopsis, I really wanted to read book 1, Dear Santa... However, that means ordering it from the bookstore, then shipping. Long story short, I wouldn't have gotten it before next week and that's just too far away for me. So I went on e-Harlequin and bought the ebook version. By the way, did I mention I was bored mindless at work and I was going to read it on my work computer while lab booking (hey, we girls have the mind for multi-tasking). Anyway, I bought the pdf version and downloaded it... and... it wouldn't **** open. I tried to figure out and turns out I need to install Adobe Digital Editions. Well hello, I bought the pdf file so I could read it on any computer... I don't want to be installing Adobe Digital Editions... and I can't, since it's work computer and I can't install anything on it.

So me not happy, but hey, it's time to go home... So I get home and install Adobe Digital Editions to my greatest displeasure. I sent myself the e-books that I downloaded at work by email. Download them at home... and again, it wouldn't work! It blocks at the authorizing step and then, an error message appears telling me I'm not authorized or something like that... so I went back to my account on e-Harlequin and downloaded Dear Santa and it works. So I'm guessing that I can't open the e-book with Adobe Digital Editions unless I download it directly from where i bought it? (I read that they start Adobe Digial Editions to increase the security aka so ppl can't share their e-books) Problem is? Well I've already downloaded Yours, Mine... Ours twice at work because I didn't understand at first that I needed Adobe Digital Editions.... Seems like 2 is the limit of download and seriously, I'm not about to buy the e-book a second time!

So there it is, why I don't buy e-books... because the freaking technology keep changing... oh, I mean evolving... grrrrr. All I wanted was to read a pdf file. Well now, I can't even do so :( Next time, I'll be waiting for the shipping.

March Reads Lightening Reviews

To my greatest displeasure, I haven't been reading much lately :( I think it's me (my mood) and not the books (thanks goodness)... I've just been picking up books and starting them and not finishing them. They're just not grabbing my attention :( Of course, my mood hasn't stopped me from buying books... or perhaps, it's exactly because of that mood that I've been on a buying books binge...

Anyway, to compensate not reading as much books, I thought I could at least review some of them... I said at the beginning of the year that I wanted to review more books... and it's been going so-so. I wish I could write full reviews for every book I read like Jill, but I don't have the time. So lightening review (well not that lightening ^_^;) it is...

Making Over Mr. Right by Judy McCoy
published by Avon in March 2008

The Plot: Zoe, Chloe and Kyra are Zeus' daugthers and Muses of Beauty, Happiness and Good Fortune respectively. However, they have no lived up to Zeus' standards and so all three are sent to Earth for a year to inspire humans. When the year is up, they'll be evaluated and returned to Olympus as goddesses... or maids to Hera depending on their performance.

Zoe has spent the past 10-11 months in New York, working as a window designer. Theo Maragos is an up and coming businessman who will be featured in a major magazine, which could give a major boost to his company. However, he and his apartment needs to look the part and so Theo hires Zoe for a make-over.

Genre: contemporary romance
Series: The Goddesses, book #3

Why I bought this book? I read the first two books and so, just to finish the series...

My Opinion: The book isn't bad... Isn't that a great start? LOL :) It's an enjoyable read, the only problem is that all three books of the series are based on the same plotline: muse is sent to Earth to spend a year, meet handsome fella, falls in love and... It annoys me a lot that they ignore their feelings and believe that they'll be able to go back to their life in Olympus as if nothing changed. Of course, we all know that it's not true. Luckily, Ms McCoy was able to save this book with an interesting twist and so Making Over Mr. Right is not a carbon copy of Almost a Goddess and One Night with a Goddess. What I also like is that Zoe is thinking, trying to find ways to see Theo once she's back in Olympus. All in all, this was a nice, quick read - I enjoyed Zoe and Theo's romance, although I thought they got together a bit fast and there wasn't enough emphasis on them. However, this is definitively not a must-read, must-rush-to-the-bookstore book. More like, if you have nothing to read, this is a nice filler.

My Grade: B

The Healer by Sharon Sala
published by Mira in April 2008

The Story: Jonah Gray Wolf has special gifts: he can talk and understand animals and heal the sick and wounded. Living in a small town in Alaska, he never had to hide himself or his powers until the day he save the wrong man. Being hunted, Jonah has left his hometown and become a drifter. In West Virginia, he meets Luce and sparks fly between them. However, danger is lurking around...

Genre: contemporary romance

Why I bought this book? I'm a fan of Sharon Sala.

My Opinion: I liked and enjoyed the book; however, it wasn't a wowzer. I guess I have higher expectations when it comes to favorite authors... I think that if someone else had written this book, I would have graded good, but because it's Ms Sala, it was only an okay read. I liked the characters very much in this one. Both are very calm, generous and good and all they want is to be able to live their life peacefully. I also like how there wasn't one big event/show-down in the book, but instead many smaller events. The pacing was a bit slow and I think part of it is due to the writing style, which was a bit passive in my opinion... I wished we knew more about Luce's past and I wished their relationship was a bit more developed. My biggest problem however was reading this book, it felt like deja-vu. Ms Sala has written another book, Legend, under her other pen name, Dinah McCall. Of course, the two books aren't identical and actually, many things are different... Problem is, in both books, the healing power and the villain hunting the hero down for the healing were central to the plot and so The Healer echoed Legend in that way and that did take away a bit of the enjoyment.

My Grade: B

Every Move You Make by Carla Cassidy
published by Signet Elipse in March 2008

The Plot: Back blurb of the book...

On her thirtieth birthday, Annalise Blakely gets a strange package. Inside, along with one of her company's hand-crafted dolls, is a note: I don't need this anymore. I have my own. Annalise puts the package aside-she has enough on her mind. Since her mother died, Annalise has been working nonstop to keep Blakely Dolls a success. Her deadbeat dad* wants to be back in the picture. And she's dating again**. But the policeman she's seeing has chilling news: someone is murdering women, dressing them up as Blakely Dolls, and leaving them for the police to find. And, although no one knows it yet, the killer is stalking Annalise, the model for the original doll, for his final display...

*Her father's been in her life; however, ever since her parents divorce, their relationship has been strained.
**She agreed to go on a blind date with Tyler King, a cop who's involved in a series of murders.

Genre: romantic suspense
Why I bought this book? I read one or two of her previous work and enjoyed them enough. Plus, the book was cheap.

My Opinion: I was too lazy to write a summary of my own ^_^; So what did I think of this book... again, an okay read. I think I was expecting something along the lines of Karen Rose and it's not really what I got. Less chilling LOL :P I think there was a good balance between the romance and suspense. I like how Annalise and Tyler got to know each other. I enjoyed Annalise getting to know her half-brother and resolving her issues with her father. Annalise annoyed me a little though, not because she was TSTL, although sometimes you wonder - how can you ignore/miss the obvious?!? What annoyed me is how she wouldn't reach out and wasn't willing to listen to others sometimes. Another problem is that this story wasn't able to grab me and so although it was well written, I came out thinking meh. Finally, I didn't like how the whole suspense was solved. Perhaps I've read too much In Death books, but this one did feel a bit flat investigation-wise.

Week-end and one word meme

Hmmmm, I didn't re-shelve my books this week-end. Instead, I laze around, slept and read. I wasn't feeling too well anyway... cramps on Saturday and lack of sleep on Sunday :( However, I'm determined that I will start today :P

I did read though. I read Shaken & Stirred and Sex, Straight Up. Both are Blaze HQN by Kathleen O'Reilley and they were recommended to me by Rosie. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy them as much as Rosie did. I liked the premises in both books, especially Shaken & Stirred... but not where the storyline went. As for Sex, Straight Up, it was actually good. However, I don't really know if it's the books or me... :(

I've been in a mood lately. Or perhaps, better saying, no mood. I don't feel like reading anything, although I've bought tons of books last week. I'm just feeling quite weird... and it's not just reading. Perhaps I'm feeling restless? I haven't been doing much lately and it's been bugging me. I went out with a friend on Friday evening... a little bit of shopping and eating. We've decided to join a gym, but we're trying to figure which one... The thing is trying to find a cheap one, but convenient for both of us, not easy.

I'm aslo pissed at another friend. See, I have this group of friends and we've been hanging out together for a couple of years now... almost 8 years. We've all met in school; however, now, we've all been doing our own things. Some of us are still in school, others are working. Long story short, we have friend no.1 that is now working in Seattle and she's coming back for the week-end and want to go out. She sent out an email... and after talking with a couple of ppl, I sent out an email setting the date, this Friday night. Then, I have friend no.2 who sends out an email and she wants to combine her b-day party with friend no.1 night-out. I really wouldn't mind combining the event, esp. since I was planning to celebrate a friend no.3 b-day at the same time... However, friend no.2 has invited other friends (that we, the group, do NOT know)... and that annoys me. Especially since friend no.1 invited some other acquaintances. Anyway, long story short, I'm not happy about the situation... and I've been unhappy with friend no.2 for quite a while now. So this does not help. Ugh.

Okay, enough ranting. To lighten the mood, I've been tagged by Zeek for the one word meme.

Shelving systems?

LOL, I think that many can relate to my problem: too many books, not enough space. I've been meaning to re-shelve my books for a couple months... but at the same time, I've been very lazy ^_^; Also, it usually takes me more than a week-end and it drives my parents absolutely nuts to see all those books lying around everywhere in my room. So I haven't done it yet... but since I don't have anything to do this week-end and there's already so many books on the floor, plus no more order to my books... I thought this week-end would be nice.

The thing though is how should I shelve them? Basically, I have the hardcovers, paperbacks and tradesize paperbacks all separated. No real order to hardcovers and paperbacks since I used to not have enough so it didn't matter. That's no longer true. For my paperbacks, that's another issue. Basically, I only have one shelving unit (the other is for my manga) and I triple-stack the shelves. I used to divided them in genres (or at least try) and then alphabetized them. However, since I triple-stack the shelves, I'd put my favorites in the front. Yes, favoritism, LOL.

Another problem is that I've been steadily running out of space the past year. My dad wants me to put some in the basement. Never! LOL, basically, two problems - no shelves in the basement and which would I take down?!? And then, I'm not a fan of the idea of going down to get a book in the middle of the night... Plus, it's dark... and wouldn't my books be lonely without me?!?

Anyway, I know this has been asked many times around blogland, but how do you shelve your books? and what do you think I should do? One shelve is not enough per genre... but if I alphabetized everything, then the last letters will be in boxes... and LOL, shelving by colors is out of question :P

Monthly Reads March 2008

Happy April's Fool Day!

Do people still make pranks on April's Fool day? Anyway, 1st of the month means Monthly Reads list! Seriously, I'm really glad I started this habit...

So March was a so-so month reading-wise. I have a total of 13 books read, which is not bad, but definitively down in the numbers so far for 2008. Also, considering that I didn't read at all while I was on my trip, it's really not bad...

So here are my reads:

1) The Perfect Wife by Victoria Alexander: C-
2) Making over Mr. Right by Judi McCoy: B
3) Personal Demon by Kelley Armstrong: B
4) Thigh High by Christina Dodd: B
5) The Healer by Sharon Sala: B
6) Every Move You Make by Carla Cassidy: B
7) To Dream Again by Laura Lee Guhrke: B
8) Witch Blood by Anya Bast: C+
9) Illegal Possession by Kay Hooper: B
10) Dagger Star by Elizabeth Vaughan: B
11) Touch of Evil by C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp: C+
12) Touch of Madness by C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp: C-
13) Twisted by Andrea Kane: B

So a lot of B reads, i.e. okay/good reads... but no wowzer :( And I thought I've reviewed a lot of books this month, but I guess not what I've been reading :D Anyway, if anyone has read the same book as me and is interested in a buddy review for Breezing Through, let me know :P

Oh, also... what are you guys looking forward for the month of April? I already got Dagger Star and The Healer... so that leaves Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole and The Brass Bed by Jennifer Stevenson, both coming out at the end of the month. There's also Strike Zone by Kate Angell, but that one I've pre-ordered and waiting for it to be shipped any day now... and finally, I want 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover by Linda Wisdom , but it's not in any of my bookstores! Why?!?!
